Ingredients:
2 and 1/8 cups sugar
3 oz strawberry flavored jello
1 cup butter, softened
4 eggs (room temp.)
2 3/4 cups flour
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 cup milk (room temp.)
1 tsp vanilla extract
Procedure:
- Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease and flour baking pan.
- Sieve flour and baking powder. Keep aside.
- In a mixing bowl, cream butter, sugar and jello using wire whip, until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
- Stir sieved mixture into the batter, alternately with milk.
- Blend in vanilla extract.
- Pour batter into prepared pan.
- Bake for 25 - 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about half hour before tapping out to cool completely on a wire rack.
- Frost and decorate the cake once it has completely cooled.
